Job summary
Sunrun Inc. is seeking a Lead Installer to join our residential solar installation crew. The role entails guiding a team to complete installations, coordinating daily tasks, and ensuring safety and quality on site.
You will work across a dynamic home solar project lifecycle, handling inventory, assembly, and site preparation while coordinating fellow installers. The position emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and commitment to safety.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous solar installation experience required.
- Must maintain a clean driving record and pass a background check; must be 21+ with valid driver's license.
- Adheres to safety policies and can identify hazards and promote safe work.
Responsibilities
- Review inventory at loading dock to stock crew truck.
- Layout and assemble solar modules, mounts, electrical equipment and tools.
- Apply weather sealing to roofing structures and supports.
- Assemble racking and solar modules as per project plan.
- Maintain a clean, safe job site and perform project cleanup.
- Ensure safety for crew and site at all times.
- Attend training on new products, installation methods and safety.
- Lead crew to safe, effective installations and provide technical support.
- Assist with solar battery installations when assigned.
- May serve as acting Foreperson when needed.
