Job summary

Sunrun in Des Plaines, IL is seeking an Installer to join our solar installation team. You will work with the Foreperson and Lead Installer to complete residential projects, focusing on safety, layout, and assembly of modules and electrical equipment.

Experience in solar or construction is preferred; strong teamwork, reliability, and outdoor work tolerance are required. Starting hourly wages range from $21.82 to $29.09, with full benefits and education support available.

Qualifications

• Previous solar, construction or military experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work with safety policies and report hazards.
• Capable of working with customers and coworkers in a professional manner.
• Demonstrated reliability to meet due dates and metrics in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure personal, crew and job site safety at all times.
• Review inventory to stock crew truck adequately.
• Complete layout and assemble solar modules, racking, mounts and electrical equipment.
• Apply weather sealing to roofing structures.
• Perform project clean-up and maintain a clean site.
