Job summary
Energy Support Services is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to act as the regional technical authority, overseeing maintenance, permitting, and safety on solar sites in and around Trenton, New Jersey. This in-person role requires a licensed electrician with medium-voltage judgment and a willingness to relocate to the Trenton area if needed.
The position offers high autonomy, training on PV-specific architecture, and certification paths, with a company truck, PPE, and competitive
Qualifications
- Must hold electrician license and medium-voltage judgment.
- Solar experience is not required; license suffices.
- Strong knowledge of commercial/industrial electrical practices.
Responsibilities
- Champion a culture of operational excellence across the region.
- Serve as Regional Approval Authority for LOTO and switch-plan procedures.
- Ensure compliance with AHJ, electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Review, submit, and manage electrical permitting across state regulations.
- Perform complex preventative and corrective maintenance on solar PV systems and diagnose faults.
