Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician Levels I–IV to support solar facility maintenance, repair, and monitoring across our projects in Texas.

You will work on diverse solar plants, prioritize safety, and ensure compliance with company standards and industry practices. The role requires four years of solar facility experience, strong English communication, and proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent; vocational/technical training a plus
• Minimum four years of experience in solar facility maintenance and repair
• Advanced computer operation and monitoring applications
• Advanced knowledge of solar systems, protection and control devices, transformers and inverters
• Ability to troubleshoot network and telemetry issues
• Pass exams on electrical schematics, electrical troubleshooting, and hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams
• Valid OSHA 30 certification and NFPA 70e safety training
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Ability to work remotely and in extreme weather conditions
• On-call availability and teamwork with other technicians

Responsibilities

• Perform field service maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting for solar facilities across Level I–IV
• Lead safety programs and enforce company safety standards
• Prepare timely site operation reports and documentation
• Coordinate with PM, EPC managers, HV, SCADA, IT, and other teams
• Train and supervise Solar Technician Levels I–IV
• Assist in implementing new technologies and process improvements
• Maintain leadership to inspire the techs and operations teams
