Job summary

SOLV Energy, LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform maintenance, repair and troubleshooting on solar facilities across remote sites. You will work under supervision to ensure safe, reliable operation of solar plants and related equipment, including inverters, protections, telemetry and network systems.

The role requires driving to sites, on-call duties, and training junior technicians, with emphasis on safety, documentation, and teamwork in a fast‑paced, field environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; technical training a plus.
• Minimum four years of solar facility maintenance and repair.
• Advanced computer operation and monitoring applications.
• Advanced knowledge of solar systems, protection devices, transformers.
• Pass exams on electrical schematics, troubleshooting, hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams.
• OSHA 30 and NFPA 70e certifications required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead site maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting per safety standards.
• Supervise Solar Technician levels I-IV and provide training.
• Prepare documentation and reports related to site operation.
• Collaborate with EPC management on improvements and new technologies.
• Respond to on‑call emergencies and urgent equipment repairs.
