Job summary

Sunrun is seeking a Field Performance Technician 3 to troubleshoot and diagnose advanced electrical systems in solar installations. The role involves training other technicians, coordinating with supervisors, and ensuring reliable field performance across projects.

You must hold a Journeyman license and have 3+ years in field construction, including solar service work. PV knowledge is a strong plus, with safety and customer service as core responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field construction experience, with at least 1 year as a service technician in the solar industry.
• High School diploma is required.
• Valid state/local Journeyman license or Electrician Certification is required.
• PV design or PV electrical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize, lead, and maintain the warranty and service schedule.
• Coordinate labor resources with foreman and supervisor for service and warranty projects.
• Assist with training and development for Field Service Technicians.
• Lead meetings to train the local field service team on best practices.
• Support onboarding and training of new field performance members.
• Exceed goals for field performance KPIs such as turnaround time and dispatches.
• Assist with inspections and site audits when assigned.
