Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Solar Farm Technician II to safely install, operate, maintain, and repair solar systems across US sites. You will diagnose issues, analyze data, and lead maintenance to maximize uptime and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes hands-on technical work, adherence to safety protocols, and collaboration with Site Leads and Engineers to resolve complex problems. On-site position with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree or certification in renewable energy technology or electrical systems preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years of relevant technical experience in renewable energy preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
• Strong working knowledge of solar PV systems including inverters, trackers, and electrical infrastructure.
• Independently perform preventive and corrective maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Apply safety protocols and LOTO procedures in OSHA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Leads solar operations and maintenance per site procedures and safety practices.
• Demonstrates proactive safety leadership and hazard reporting.
• Ensures ENV, HEALTH, and SAFETY compliance by interpreting regulations.
• Independently maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs solar PV systems.
• Diagnoses complex issues using SCADA data, alarms, and measurements.
• Coordinates with Site Leads and Engineers for high-risk issues.
• Plans and executes preventive and corrective maintenance and resources.
