Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC seeks a Solar Farm Technician II to install, operate, maintain, and repair solar systems, ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. You will diagnose issues, analyze SCADA data, and contribute to continuous improvement across field operations.

Requirements include a high school diploma (associate degree preferred), 3+ years in renewable energy, and ability to travel to sites; lifting up to 50 lbs and working outdoors are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years in renewable energy technical roles preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied weather.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV systems and SCADA.
• Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform solar operations and maintenance safely.
• Identify hazards and coach team on safe work practices.
• Ensure compliance with EH&S requirements.
• Troubleshoot and repair solar PV systems and components.
• Analyze SCADA data to identify root causes.
• Plan preventive and corrective maintenance and manage work orders.
• Mentor Associate and Trainee technicians.
• Respond to on-call duties with rapid site attendance.
