Knobelsdorff (KE) is seeking a Senior Estimator to evaluate project information, review designs, build proposals, and secure pricing from vendors across the United States for photovoltaic installations.

The role involves leading bid packages, developing RFPs, and interfacing with customers throughout the bid and design process, with a focus on solar and storage projects ranging from 1MW to 50+MW. Expect travel and a robust benefits package.

Formación

• 5+ years of prior estimating experience or a combination of education, estimating, and field experience.
• Background in solar, construction management, or project management.
• Ability to handle multiple projects, tight deadlines and pressure.
• Estimating software experience preferred (Heavy Bid, Accubid, B2W).
• Knowledge of scheduling principals/software (MS Project or P6).
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Willing to travel once a month and have a valid driver’s license.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsabilidades

• Review bid packages and lead/participate in high-quality pricing and proposals.
• Develop comprehensive bid packages for client submittals.
• Develop and manage RFPs for various packages; solicit proposals.
• Interact with customers throughout bidding and design processes.
• Coordinate with team to solicit pricing and produce complete bid packages.
• Request pricing for bonds, sales tax, insurance, prevailing wage, and other pricing.
• Review historical data and improve accuracy of pricing models.
• Develop solar/battery storage estimates from 1MW to 50+MW.
• Estimate self-perform labor and equipment costs for proposals.
• Prepare and present bid proposals for client clarification.
• Understand project scope, schedule, and cost for conforming bids.
• Write/modify project scope for inclusion/exclusion in proposals.
• Maintain solar estimating database of pricing/assemblies.
• Seek ongoing growth in solar market knowledge.
• Provide technical assistance: drawings interpretation, material specs.
