Job summary

Knobelsdorff (KE) is seeking a seasoned project manager to lead solar projects from handoff through closeout, owning scope, schedules, budgets, safety, and the customer interface. Based in Goodhue with travel to project sites, you will coordinate withConstruction Managers, Estimating, and Engineering to ensure successful execution and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven working experience in utility grade photovoltaic project management.
• Ability to oversee and report progress daily to the leadership team.
• Experience with estimating, planning, scheduling, cost management, and client-facing duties.
• Ability to develop comprehensive project plans for clients and teams.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple solar projects from handoff through closeout, overseeing scope, contracts, schedules, budgets, safety, and execution.
• Develop and maintain project schedules; coordinate with Construction Managers and Superintendent for milestones.
• Manage project financials: weekly budget reviews, cost-to-complete forecasting, revenue forecasting, billing.
• Serve as primary point of contact for customers; manage deliverables and change orders.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Pre‑Construction, and Estimating on scope, RFIs, and constructability.
• Track materials, equipment, subcontractors, and delivery timelines; manage quotes and awarded work.
• Support safety by ensuring KE procedures and required documentation are in place.
• Lead handoff, kickoff, coordination, and closeout meetings with field and support teams.
• Monitor progress via site visits; report on schedule vs. actual, cost-code performance, and needs.
• Closeout: punch lists, final invoicing, lessons learned, and feedback to improve bids.
