Job summary

DNV Energy Systems in North America is seeking a Senior Solar Energy Analyst to join our Solar Energy Assessments team. You will deliver solar resource and energy production analyses for utility-scale, commercial, and distributed projects across North America.

You will analyze datasets, develop energy yield models, prepare technical reports, and communicate findings to clients. The role requires five years of North American experience, strong Python and Excel skills, and familiarity with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, atmospheric science, or related field.
• Minimum five (5) years in a similar role in North America.
• Understanding of solar resource assessment and energy production modeling.
• Experience with MCP analyses and solar resource variability.
• Proficiency in Excel, Python, and data-analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct long-term solar resource and energy production assessments for utility-scale and other project types.
• Analyze operational data, assess resource variability, and support bankable energy yield assessments.
• Prepare technical reports, validate methodologies, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Contribute to analytical tool development and improve project delivery.
