DNV seeks a Senior Solar Energy Analyst to join our Solar Energy Assessment team in North America. You will perform long-term solar resource and energy production assessments, analyze data, and develop bankable energy yield assessments for diverse projects.

This data-driven role requires strong modeling, expertise in MCP analyses, and collaboration to continuously improve analytical tools and methods. Hybrid work options are available across listed NA markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, atmospheric science, mathematics, environmental science, or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in North America.
• Strong understanding of solar resource assessment and energy production modeling.
• Experience with MCP analyses and solar variability impacts.
• Proficiency in Excel, Python, and data-analysis tools.
• Experience with solar modeling software and AI tool use.

Responsibilities

• Conduct long-term solar resource and energy production assessments for various solar project types.
• Analyze operational data from solar plants and derive model parameters; assess system losses.
• Prepare technical reports and communicate findings to stakeholders; support QA/QC of deliverables.
• Collaborate with analysts to implement modern methods and develop analytical tooling.
