Job summary

DNV Energy Systems is seeking a Senior Solar Energy Analyst to join our Renewables and Power Grids team, providing solar resource and energy assessment services for North America projects. You will model long-term solar resource, perform energy yield analyses, and support project development and operations in a data-driven environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, 5+ years in North America, Python and solar software proficiency, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering, atmospheric science, mathematics, environmental science, or related quantitative field.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience performing a similar role in North America.
• Comprehensive understanding of solar resource assessment, solar energy production modeling, and PV system operation.
• Experience with MCP analyses and understanding solar resource variability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct long-term solar resource and energy production assessments for various project types.
• Analyze production data, evaluate resource variability, and support bankable energy yield assessments.
• Prepare technical reports and communicate findings to customers and stakeholders.
• Contribute to development and improvement of analytical tools and workflows.
