Job summary

Hanwha Qcells USA Corp (Qcells USA) is seeking a Commissioning Superintendent to oversee safety, quality, and scheduling of utility-scale PV and BESS projects. Hybrid work, with travel up to 100%, reporting to the Commissioning Manager.

The role requires 4+ years in large-scale construction, solar commissioning experience, and strong coordination with engineering, testing, and subcontractors. U.S. work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience on major projects, preferably utility-scale.
• Solar PV and/or BESS commissioning experience is required.
• Willingness to travel extensively for project needs.
• Experience with Procore or comparable project management tools and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience reviewing electrical drawings and installation/ design packages.
• Attention to detail and client interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Directs commissioning personnel and subcontractors to complete projects.
• Support planning and use of proper means for activities.
• Follow and implement Health, Safety & Environmental Policy.
• Coordinate resources to maintain safety and quality.
• Create and maintain commissioning documentation per contract.
• Ensure work stays within approved scope and is compliant.
• Coordinate with supplier testing & commissioning teams.
• Identify testing per project scope and ITP.
• Communicate with engineering to meet commissioning requirements.
• Regular attendance as per policy; supervise as assigned.
• Perform other duties and special projects as needed.
