Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Assistant Commissioning Manager to lead commissioning activities for HV, BESS, and PV projects. You will oversee testing, safety, scheduling, and coordination with engineering, construction, and QA teams on site, with hybrid work and travel as required.

This role emphasizes hands-on leadership, meticulous reporting, and adherence to NFPA/NEC standards, with a focus on delivering reliable renewable energy assets from commissioning through project closeout.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in testing and commissioning on utility scale electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, inverters, transformers, and electrical infrastructure.
• Proven experience managing project teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project commissioning team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient execution.
• Report daily to the Commissioning Manager on status of each project.
• Review requirements and assist with developing project milestones, commissioning plan, and procedures.
• Coordinate with OEM suppliers on equipment testing and commissioning activities.
• Liaise with engineering, construction, and QA teams to align commissioning activities.
• Develop integrated testing and commissioning schedules and update them weekly.
• Support development of commissioning resource plan and switching procedures as needed.
• Identify and recommend corrective actions for issues identified during commissioning or initial operation.
• Prepare detailed daily commissioning reports including test results and corrective actions.
• Monitor timelines and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
• Capture lessons learned and maintain equipment warranty logs.
