Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager to lead commissioning across utility-scale solar, battery storage, SCADA, and substation projects nationwide. You will plan, execute, and manage the commissioning phase, coordinating engineers, owners, and contractors to meet contractual requirements and ensure a smooth handoff to operations.

The role is hybrid with onsite work at job sites and some remote work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in commissioning, startup, testing, construction, or project delivery for utility-scale electrical facilities.
• Experience in HV substations or BESS projects and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to read contracts, drawings, and interconnection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning scope across 2-3 concurrent projects with deliverables, milestones, and turnover.
• Develop and maintain a commissioning execution plan and resource forecast.
• Translate contract requirements into executable commissioning work plans.
• Escalate safety, contractual, or resource issues to leadership as needed.
• Coordinate with owners, utilities, OEMs, and field teams; ensure witness requirements are met.
