Job summary

AES Corporation is seeking a Solar Technician I to support the Bellefield Solar project in Mojave, CA. This hands-on role requires performing O&M on solar PV and BESS facilities, with a focus on electrical troubleshooting, calibration, and safe operation of plant equipment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, with a technical degree or solar certification preferred. Local residency or relocation to the Lancaster/Mojave area is expected; the position offers an opportunity for

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or solar certification preferred.
Experience with solar PV installations and basic electrical/mechanical fundamentals is a plus.
Familiarity with SCADA and CMMS systems is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

Maintain and operate solar PV and BESS sites and related substations.
Perform electrical troubleshooting, instrumentation calibration, and basic inverter checks.
Prepare and execute switching and clearance orders.
Operate plant systems and participate in safety and environmental practices.
Assist with vegetation management and documentation as needed.
