Job summary

ASM is seeking an on-site Field Process Engineer in Phoenix, AZ to support high-volume semiconductor manufacturing. You will work closely with customers, ASM Field Service, and global teams to improve process performance and drive qualifications.

This role requires strong data analysis, DOE experience, and the ability to communicate technical details under pressure. Travel and extended fab hours may be needed to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD preferred in a technical field with semiconductor process experience.
• Strong fundamentals in semiconductor processing, thin films, metrology, or data analysis.
• Experience with DOE, SPC, and data tools like JMP, Python, MATLAB, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support ASM tools through installation, start-up, qualification, ramp, and production support.
• Track process specs, tool performance, and open issue status via data review.
• Drive containment, recovery actions, and long-term corrective actions.
• Design and analyze experiments for qualification and improvements.
• Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams during urgent situations.
• Collaborate with Field Service Engineers and account leadership on escalations.
