Job summary

Lab37 Robotics in Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Software Quality Engineer to own test strategy, release validation, automation, and early triage across complex software and operational workflows.

You will work across frontend applications, backend services, cloud infrastructure, integrations, and robot-adjacent interfaces, partnering with product, culinary, operations, firmware, and mechanical teams to turn requirements into practical test plans that improve reliability and maintainability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software quality, test engineering, or related experience with ownership of complex test strategies across components.
• Deep experience creating and executing test plans for production software.
• Strong experience with test automation using programming languages.
• Experience owning or coordinating release validation and production readiness.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute test strategies for product capabilities spanning UI, backend, cloud, integrations, and robot-adjacent systems.
• Develop detailed test plans based on requirements, designs, workflows, dependencies, and failure modes.
• Own and coordinate release checkout, define readiness criteria, validate critical workflows, document results and blockers.
• Build and maintain automated tests for APIs, backend services, web apps, integrations, and end-to-end workflows.
• Partner with product, culinary, and operations teams to understand real-world workflows and identify risks before release.
