Lab37 Robotics in Pittsburgh is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, develop, and maintain tests and testing infrastructure for robotic systems. You will write C++ and Python tooling to support testing, validation, and debugging across our platforms, and investigate failures to improve performance.

You will work with cross-functional teams, own testing at module and system levels, and help ensure reliability in real-world environments.

Qualifications

• Strong C++ programming skills with production code experience.
• Proficiency in Python and scripting to automate workflows, analyze logs and telemetry.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills to investigate complex system behaviors.
• Experience developing and executing tests at module and system levels, including automated tests.
• Solid Linux, Git, and debugging tool fundamentals.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop and maintain tests and testing infrastructure for robotic systems.
• Investigate software failures, troubleshoot complex system behaviors, identify root causes to improve performance.
• Write and enhance C++ and script code to support testing, validation, and debugging across robotic systems.
• Analyze system metrics, logs, and production data to identify trends and edge cases for improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve software quality and testing processes for reliable robot performance.
