Job summary

Skild AI is seeking a Robotics Quality Assurance Engineer to own regression testing across full-stack robotics solutions, including software, simulation, and hardware-in-the-loop. You will design, execute and maintain test plans, automate regression suites, and ensure each feature meets requirements before shipping.

This hands-on role involves working with real robots, simulations, and CI systems, collaborating with Engineering and Deployment teams to improve reliability and reduce field

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in software testing, robotics, or test automation; senior level preferred.
• Proficient in Python and Linux shell scripting.
• Experience building automated test frameworks and CI pipelines.
• Strong robot simulation experience.
• Familiar with ROS/ROS 2 and testing web/IoT/mobile apps.
• Experience with fault injection and logged-data replay.
• Rigor in requirements traceability and defect management.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack regression coverage across software components, HIL, and interfaces.
• Review requirements, write test plans and test cases for new features; execute tests before shipment.
• Build automated end-to-end tests and data replay/scenario suites.
• Choose robot simulation approaches balancing speed and fidelity.
• Own test cases and traceability to requirements; define pass/fail criteria.
• Integrate regression into CI for every release ahead of fleet rollout.
• Collaborate with engineering to expand HIL coverage.
• Reproduce field regressions and convert to permanent tests.
