Nabsys is seeking a Senior Software QA/Test Engineer in Providence, RI to own end-to-end testing across multiple software components. You will develop tests, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and help ensure high-quality releases.

The role involves hands-on testing, automation tooling, and contributing to ISO 9001 compliance. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in QA, strong scripting skills, and experience with Jira, Postman, Playwright, Cypress, and cloud-hosted software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software QA/testing experience in biotech or tech environments.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college.
• Experience with Jira and API testing tools (Postman, Playwright, Cypress).
• Experience testing on Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Experience testing cloud-hosted software.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, C#, Bash, or PowerShell.

Responsibilities

Title: Senior Software QA/Test Engineer

Nature of Role:

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with a variety of complex systems and various software components. You will be responsible for developing test plans, executing on those plans, coordinating across multiple software groups, and ensuring high quality robust software releases for our customers. You will work closely with our development teams to understand the requirements for all new features implemented. You will contribute to our ISO9001 compliance, ensuring traceability and documented processes throughout the software groups and test activities.

This position reports to the Software Test/QA Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases that provide end-to-end traceability from requirements through design, implementation, and verification
• Contribute to the documentation process with each software release
• Perform analysis of testing results, displaying as a dashboard, showing system performance as compared to previous release baseline performance
• Partner with the Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards by developing and maintaining process documentation, test plans, test cases, test reports, and other quality records
• Hands-on testing of various software features and end to end testing both manual, and utilizing automation tools like Playwright and Postman, to improve test coverage, repeatability, and efficiency
• Triage user issues and review bugs
• Utilize AI-assisted tools to improve software testing efficiency by generating test scenarios, analyzing logs and results, identifying edge cases, and supporting automation for regression testing

Requirements:

• Experienced with Bug/feature tracking systems such as Jira
• API testing automation tools, eg Postman, Playwright, Cypress
• Familiarity with scripting/coding such as Python, C#, bash, powershell
• Comfortable working across various software groups in a biotech centric company
• Familiar with testing software in both Linux and Windows operating systems
• Experience testing cloud-hosted software
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university
• 5+ years of relevant work experience
• 3 days per week on-site in Providence
