Job summary

Proactive Global in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a Senior Software Integration Engineer to drive complex integration projects between automation products and client software ecosystems.

You will analyse client requirements, create specifications, mentor engineers, and collaborate with hardware, systems, and operations teams to ensure high‑quality, scalable integrations across warehouse software environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering or similar role, ideally in warehouse automation.
• Strong understanding of WMS/WCS/WES environments, especially WMS integrations.
• Experience with SQL, JavaScript, NodeJS, and web tech.
• Experience leading software integration projects from concept to delivery.
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, or equivalent.
• Experience with automated regression and unit testing.
• Excellent communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.
• Mentoring and supporting other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Develop software programs and interfaces between automation products and client software ecosystems.
• Act as a subject matter expert for the Software Integration team, supporting training, mentoring, and improvements.
• Analyse client requirements and architecture to provide technical solutions.
• Create software development specifications and functional analyses.
• Support developers with product knowledge and code reviews.
• Collaborate with hardware, systems, commissioning, and operations teams for seamless integration.
• Review functional analyses and ensure quality throughout development phases.
• Assist with software handover to operational teams and on-site support.
• Identify and improve software integration processes and roadmaps.
• Represent company values and foster a collaborative, innovative culture.
