Job summary

AutoStore System Inc. in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer – Integration & Applications to drive the adoption of our robotic piece-picking solutions. You will serve as the technical expert on robot cells, guarding, and mounting, collaborating with partners, customers, and internal teams.

The role blends hands-on fieldwork with documentation, product feedback, and design work to ensure rapid, safe deployment of advanced warehouse robotics across customer sites.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience in robotics, automation, or machine integration.
• Experience with safety technologies for robotic work cells and guarding.
• Ability to read PLC logic, electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Strong written and verbal communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical contact for partners adapting AutoStore products to customer processes.
• Assess structural and mounting needs for robotic equipment and guarding strategies.
• Create CAD layouts, 3D models, and engineering drawings of robot cells.
• Review designs and provide actionable feedback.
• Support integration with conveyors and controls interfaces.
• Manage multiple partner projects with priorities based on impact and timelines.
• Conduct design prototyping, testing, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Travel up to 10% to customer sites.
