Job summary

CVS Health Digital seeks a Senior Manager – Software Development Engineering to lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing technical direction and architecture guidance.

You will drive the full SDLC, collaborate with Product, Data, Infrastructure and security, evaluate new technologies, and champion engineering excellence to deliver scalable solutions for CVS Health customers and partners.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering with at least 5+ years leading projects or directs.
• 7+ years experience using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka; building and maintaining applications in the cloud.
• 3+ years leading cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• 3+ years defining technology strategy and adopting AI/ML, cloud services, automation.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms, distributed systems, APIs, microservices.

Responsibilities

• Own risk mitigation and production stability by identifying system vulnerabilities and driving timely resolution.
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) with secure coding practices and scalable architecture.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Data, Infrastructure, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging technologies and engineering best practices to enhance performance and productivity.
• Build and develop high-performing engineering teams by hiring and evaluating talent.
