Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a decisive engineering leader to guide a Board Support Package (BSP) software team, ensuring cost, schedule, and technical performance goals are met. You will collaborate with software, hardware, and program management peers across military product lines, driving excellence from pursuit through sustainment.

The role requires a SECRET clearance, strong leadership, and hands‑on experience in embedded software.

Qualifications

Active and transferable SECRET security clearance required prior to start.
5+ years leading engineering teams with mentoring and cross-functional collaboration.
Experience in program execution, bidding, planning, EVM, and risk management.
At least 5+ years experience with embedded software development.
Experience with embedded Operating Systems such as Linux, Green Hills Integrity, VxWorks, or LynxOS.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a high‑performing engineering team across entry to senior levels.
Develop talent and support career growth through coaching and feedback.
Collaborate with engineers, program managers, and shared services to deliver BSP software.
Drive BSP software strategy and ensure engineering excellence across the lifecycle.
Support business growth through pursuit efforts and strategic input.
Balance resources across programs and monitor performance with EV techniques.
Ensure compliance with Collins standards and drive continuous improvements.
Travel up to 10% annually.
