Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a technical leader to head a BSP software engineering team, guiding development from pursuit through sustainment. You will influence cost, schedule, and technical performance while partnering with hardware, software, and program management professionals to deliver robust BSP solutions.

The role emphasizes team growth, cross-functional collaboration, and adherence to Collins standards. Travel up to 10% and relocation eligibility are included.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued SECRET security clearance is required prior to start date
• At least 5+ years Experience leading engineering teams, including mentoring, task delegation, and cross-functional collaboration in a technical development environment
• Experience in program execution, including bidding, project planning, Earned Value Management (EVM), and risk and opportunity management
• At least 5+ years experience with embedded software development
• Experience with embedded Operating Systems using Linux, Green Hills Integrity, VxWorks, and/or LynxOS
