Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks an experienced software engineering leader for the AF DCGS HBMA Sustainment and Development program in Aurora, CO. You will guide a team to build and maintain cloud-enabled data systems with strong security and data integrity.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance, onsite work in Aurora, and collaboration with cross‑functional partners to deliver scalable, high‑quality software across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Agile software development teams.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and maintain team cadence.
• Track and use Agile metrics to drive improvement.
• Identify and remove impediments that block progress.
• Align with project and product objectives.
• Experience with sustainment and new feature development in Agile teams.
• STEM degree or advanced degree with relevant experience.
• Active TS/SCI - Current clearance and U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a software engineering team in designing, developing, and maintaining high‑quality applications.
• Architect scalable solutions and ensure alignment with modern engineering best practices.
• Drive code quality through reviews, automated testing, CI, and secure development workflows.
• Implement, monitor, and enforce security standards across the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with product management, QA, security, and operations to deliver reliable software.
• Mentor engineers, support technical decision‑making, and foster continuous improvement.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
