Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks a Principal Test Engineer to lead verification for the AF DCGS High Band Mission Applications software. The role centers on defining and executing end-to-end verification strategies for distributed, cloud-enabled mission applications that ingest, tag, audit, and secure data.

Travel up to 25% may be required. Work with agile stakeholders, develop automated and manual test approaches, validate containerization and security controls, and ensure verification

Qualifications

• Experience in system verification, test engineering, or integration engineering.
• Ability to develop test procedures, automated scripts, and verification plans.
• Experience with cloud-based, distributed, or containerized systems.
• Understanding of interface and configuration management practices.
• Typically requires STEM degree and 8+ years (or advanced degree and 5+ years).
• Active TS/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine the program's test architecture and end-to-end verification strategy.
• Approve acceptance criteria aligned to interfaces and mission threads.
• Create automated and manual test approaches for DevSecOps deployments.
• Identify test environment needs and testbed design for distributed systems.
• Validate containerization, cloud deployment patterns, and security controls.
• Oversee installation, deployment, and testing across enclaves.
