Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Herndon, VA, seeks a software developer to join an agile scrum team for the GCX program sustaining and evolving the GIMS system. You will design, develop, test, and maintain software addressing mission needs using Java and diverse tech stacks.

Required TS/SCI clearance and US citizenship, with experience in Linux/Windows, Agile, and DevSecOps practices. The role supports a critical enterprise system with broad collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar field.
• Develop/modify/troubleshoot Java code.
• Ability to troubleshoot and navigate multiple operating system environments (e.g., Linux/Windows).
• Ability to learn and implement new technologies.
• US Citizenship and TS/SCI clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct, and coordinate agile software development activities.
• Design, develop, document, test, and debug software with logical/mathematical solutions for mission issues.
• Apply standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
• Apply knowledge of hardware/software to develop software for business/mission applications.
• Correct program errors, document development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions.
