Lockheed Martin in the United States is seeking a software engineer to support the GEOINT Collection neXt (GCX) program. The role focuses on sustaining and evolving the GIMS system within an Agile DevSecOps environment and requires active participation in a scrum team.

The selected candidate must hold a TS/SCI clearance and be a US citizen. The GCX program emphasizes modern software practices, cross-functional collaboration, and secure, scalable solutions for national security data.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and TS/SCI clearance required.
• Experience with Java and Kubernetes in a Linux/Windows environment.
• Experience with COTS/FOSS integration and large-scale software development.
• Ability to learn and implement new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Planning, conducting, and coordinating agile software development activities.
• Designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to critical mission issues.
• Applying the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
• Applying knowledge of computer hardware and software and information gathered from system users to develop software.
• Correcting program errors, compiling documentation of program development, and analyzing system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
• Ensuring software standards are defined and met.
