Job summary

CSC Generation is seeking a Senior Engineer (Team Lead) to own a core area of our retail service cloud. You will set architecture direction, write production code daily, and mentor engineers while driving the roadmap from legacy replacement through new feature delivery.

In 6–12 months, you will ship meaningful improvements, replace targeted legacy services, and establish technical standards followed by the team. This lean team requires ownership and end-to-end decision making.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, React, and Node.js.
• Production experience with API Gateway, AWS Lambda, S3, DynamoDB.
• Comfortable with IAM and CloudWatch for debugging and least-privilege design.
• Experience with Python and Django or comparable server-side frameworks.
• Track record of owning a product or service area technically.
• Mentor and elevate other engineers while remaining an individual contributor.
• Experience replacing legacy systems in production.
• Able to triage priorities, plan sprints, and communicate technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong opinions on code quality and engineering best practices, open to collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical owner for your area within the retail service cloud and set architecture direction.
• Design, build, and ship features, writing code daily with the team.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges across the stack.
• Replace legacy code with modern, maintainable solutions and optimize the stack.
• Build frameworks and reusable patterns for upcoming projects.
• Plan roadmaps, triage sprint tickets, and justify tradeoffs.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and pairing.
• Contribute to hiring decisions and improve developer productivity.
