Job summary

General Motors (GM) seeks a Software Engineer to build, integrate, and optimize the Mechatronic Abstraction Interface for its next-generation in-vehicle architecture. You will own the software lifecycle from requirements through deployment and maintenance, contributing to a best-in-class Mechatronic Platform that meets scalability, security, and reliability goals.

Requirements include a degree in Electronic Engineering / CS / Software Engineering with 3–5 years of relevant automotive software

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience or Master's with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with automotive control systems and RTOS platforms.
• Proficient in C, C++ and scripting languages (shell, Python).
• Knowledge of automotive serial protocols CAN/LIN, and service-oriented protocols (SOME/IP, DDS, REST).
• Experience with AutoSAR and Agile software development and SCM tools.

Responsibilities

• Build, integrate, and optimize the Mechatronic Abstraction Interface.
• Own the software life cycle from requirements to deployment and maintenance.
• Contribute to design of an in-vehicle Abstracted Mechatronic Platform for new GM architecture.
• Follow development processes ensuring scalability, maintainability, reliability, and security.

Job DescriptionDUTIES: Build, integrate, and optimize the Mechatronic Abstraction Interface. Responsible for the entire life cycle of the assigned product, including requirements, system design, development, deployment, and maintenance of the software modules. Participate in the design of a best-inclass in-vehicle Abstracted Mechatronic Platform for GM new electronic architecture. Follow software development process and ensure that the designed solutions conform to architectural requirements such as scalability, maintainability, reliability, extensibility, usability and security.
