Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. seeks a Senior Software Development Engineer to design, build, and operate a mission-critical, multi-tenant fleet platform that securely manages thousands of embedded devices.

You will work on distributed systems, security engineering, and fleet operations with a focus on reliability and compliance. The role requires active TS/SCI with polygraph, and a strong background in cryptography, PKI, mutual TLS, and scalable data architectures.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Security-hardened system design including PKI, mutual TLS, cryptographic signing.
• Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility/TS polygraph clearance.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop a decomposed microservices-based platform for fleet management, rule execution, device communication, logging, security, and presentation.
• Design secure inter-service communication across REST/mTLS and high-throughput streaming data planes.
• Build cryptographic trust infrastructure with offline validation for multiple CAs.
• Implement multi-tenant data isolation with ABAC and row-level security.
