Job summary

BuildOps is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and scale product features across frontend and backend systems. You will own projects end-to-end, partner with product, design, and engineering to translate ambiguous problems into clear technical plans, and write clean, well-tested code.

You will mentor teammates and drive reliability using AI-driven tooling. You’ll work in a fast-moving startup environment, collaborating across teams, improving observability, and delivering

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience building production APIs & services
• Strong frontend & backend feature development
• Mentoring teammates and contributing to architecture

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain features across frontend and backend
• Own projects through full lifecycle from design to rollout
• Collaborate with product/design to translate problems into technical plans
• Write clean, testable code with focus on reliability
• Build user-facing experiences and APIs across boundaries
• Improve performance, scalability, and resilience of systems
• Identify risks and dependencies early to avoid bottlenecks
• Contribute to design reviews and architecture decisions
• Mentor junior engineers and raise engineering quality
