Job summary

Picksy is seeking a Senior Software Engineer 1 to own design and implementation of scalable, highly available services. You will mentor engineers and drive architecture decisions, partnering with product owners and designers to translate requirements into world-class features.

You will lead the development of new services, APIs, and monitoring, while owning production services end-to-end and improving reliability and cost efficiency across the platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant industry experience.
• 6+ years of professional technology experience.

Responsibilities

• Own production services end-to-end; investigate, troubleshoot, and implement fixes for bugs and operational issues.
• Lead code reviews and mentor other engineers, setting the bar for code quality.
• Design and implement new services, APIs, and monitoring functions.
• Drive architecture discussions and prioritize technical debt.
• Provide thorough, readable documentation for the services you own.
