Job summary

Picksy is seeking a Senior Software Engineer 1 to own design and implementation for scalable, available services. You will mentor engineers, influence architecture, and collaborate with product and design teams to deliver high-quality features.

Responsibilities include building foundational services, leading code reviews, and driving technical debt reduction while maintaining reliability and cost efficiency in a hybrid in-office role with optional remote days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or relevant field.
• 6+ years of professional technology experience.
• Deep understanding of REST and scalable service architecture.
• Production services in AWS/GCP with containers and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve foundational services powering Picksy.
• Design and implement new services, APIs, and monitoring functions.
• Own production services end-to-end; diagnose issues and improve reliability and cost.
• Lead code reviews and mentor engineers to uphold code quality.
• Drive technical debt prioritization and document services clearly.
• Collaborate with org to align on best practices.
• Deliver high-quality, complex services under tight timelines.
