Vantor in the United States is seeking a seasoned software engineer to contribute to mission-focused software applications, backend services, APIs, data processing workflows, and analytical capabilities.

You will support data scientists and mission partners by creating and refining software, maintaining existing applications, troubleshooting defects, and delivering reliable capabilities in an agile, remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen with active Top Secret/CBP-DHS clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/SE or related field.
• 6+ years of professional software experience.
• Experience with strongly-typed languages such as Java or Rust.
• Willing to lead technical discussions and mentor staff.
• Familiar with agile software development and Jira/Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to research, development, and sustainment of mission-focused software.
• Support data scientists and partners by building/refining applications.
• Maintain and enhance existing custom apps and troubleshoot defects.
