First Citizens Bank is seeking a hands-on Software Engineer to join a growing Corporate Credit Card delivery team. This remote role is open to select states, with a focus on building a new platform, driving automated testing, and leading development teams through enterprise-scale deployments.

The ideal candidate has large-organization experience, can mentor senior developers, and communicates complex concepts clearly to tech leads, product owners, and external teams. Banking experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience designing/modifying modern microservice-based systems.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Java 11+ and Spring/Spring Boot.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, unit testing, and version control.

Responsabilités

• Partner with business/architects to design scalable solutions meeting functional and reliability needs.
• Lead multiple tech leads and SCRUM teams within the domain with coaching and escalation paths.
• Drive domain-wide changes to improve quality, speed and throughput.
• Maintain and evolve IaaS/SaaS and on-prem applications across Digital, Cards, Risk, and Merchant Services.
• Troubleshoot defects, data errors, and configuration issues to identify root causes.
• Support critical, complex applications and ensure they remain fit-for-purpose.
