Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a hands-on Software Engineer to join the Corporate Credit Card delivery team. This remote role may be hired in AZ, FL, GA, NY, NC and TX, supporting a new platform with automated testing across Digital, Cards, Risk and Merchant Services.

The ideal candidate will lead development teams, mentor engineers, and deliver enterprise-grade systems with strong focus on reliability, scalability, and secure coding practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience designing or modifying modern microservice based systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Spring and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Experience with REST APIs and unit testing frameworks.
• Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, Git and Postman.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business and architects to design scalable technical solutions.
• Lead multiple tech leads and SCRUM teams within the domain.
• Drive changes to improve quality, speed, and throughput.
• Maintain and troubleshoot IO and enterprise apps across Digital/Cards/Risk.
• Coordinate troubleshooting of defects and data/configuration issues.
• Develop real-time and file-based integrations with DB processing.
