Vetcove is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our remote-first team building the modern veterinary software suite. You will contribute to ideas, develop React frontends and React Native apps, and implement features across the stack, collaborating with the CTO and cross-functional teams to improve the platform used by clinics nationwide.

You will work on real-time analytics, performance optimizations, and test coverage while delivering scalable solutions that power thousands of purchasers

Qualifications

• 2 years of professional software engineering experience, preferably building web applications.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with modern web frameworks and production applications.
• Ability to design features around data models with security and performance in mind.
• Experience with databases and query optimization.
• Fluency with JavaScript features and prototyped languages.
• Good software testing practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent responsibilities.
• Desire to help customers succeed.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to conceptualization and feature documentation of new ideas and product enhancements.
• Build and extend interactive React applications used by veterinary purchasers and hospital groups.
• Add good test coverage.
• Build reusable components for the larger team.
• Implement new features into React Native applications.
• Collaborate with CTO and engineering across functions to evolve platform.
• Work in a fully remote environment.
