Job summary

Vetcove is hiring a Staff Design Engineer to blend design and engineering across desktop and mobile apps. You will partner with designers to translate wireframes into polished, reusable React components and CSS-driven interactions that enhance the veterinary software experience for pets and care teams.

You’ll explore design trends, implement animations, and contribute to pixel-perfect UI across platforms, with a fully remote role within the USA. A passion for pets is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in software development, including experience in building a professionally successful production application using React.
• A portfolio of front-end components and/or designs you’ve implemented.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with product designers in designing new features.
• Bring Figma designs to life by implementing modular, reusable React components.
• Implement interactions using highly flexible and performant CSS code.
• Experiment with animations and micro-interactions that are best prototyped through code.
• Work closely with the front end engineering team to bridge front end logic with design.
