Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is hiring a Full Stack Engineer II to join our remote-first engineering team. In this mid-level role, you will design, build, and maintain features powering our veterinary staffing marketplace, collaborating with product, design, data, and engineering peers to deliver scalable solutions.

You will own end-to-end features, mentor junior engineers, and drive architectural improvements while embracing a builder mindset and modern tooling.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of professional Software Engineer experience.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Mobile development experience (React Native or similar).
• Experience with Node, Express, React, AWS, and relational databases.
• Proficient at writing complex SQL queries.
• Experience in a growing team or startup preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Degree in Computer Science or relevant field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, design, data, and engineering to deliver robust solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain features across the stack with scalable architecture.
• Write clean, well-documented code for React Native mobile app and backend services.
• Participate in technical design discussions and architectural decisions.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead by example with high-quality code.
• Own tests lifecycle with unit tests (Jest) and end-to-end (Cypress).
• Investigate production issues and improve observability for reliability.
• Partner with DevOps for CI/CD and deployments.
• Stay current with industry trends and drive tool/process improvements.
