Job summary

Airbnb in the US is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Community Support Engineering (CS Eng) team. You will help drive the core software powering our global support agents, shaping technical vision and delivering scalable solutions that improve agent experiences for guests and hosts.

You'll work across product, design, and engineering, owning end-to-end features, building frontend components with React/TypeScript, designing server APIs, and collaborating with ML/Generative AI teams to

Qualifications

• 6+ years industry experience.
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in CS, or equivalent.
• Experience architecting FE systems with end-to-end ownership.
• Experience building large web applications using Javascript/Typescript.
• Experience with React and GraphQL.
• Fluency in HTML, CSS and related web technologies.
• Strong accessibility and performance optimization skills.
• Excellent cross‑org communication and product mindset.
• Experience building UI for AI-driven features.
• Proficiency in Java/Kotlin backend.
• Mentorship to junior developers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally to implement product strategy and build novel features.
• Lead full development cycle: design, development, testing, experimentation, and launch.
• Build efficient frontend components with performance and scalability in mind.
• Design and implement server-side APIs to support frontend needs.
• Collaborate with ML/Generative AI engineers to enhance support systems.
• Contribute to technical direction through design discussions.
