Job summary

Airbnb is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join the Agent Core Products team in Community Support Engineering. You will design frontend architectures and build reusable components that empower support agents and improve guest and host experiences.

You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to ship end-to-end features in JavaScript/TypeScript using React and GraphQL, ensuring accessibility and performance.

Qualifications

• Six plus years of experience building production interfaces with end-to-end ownership across multiple squads.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Frontend systems designed for scalability, balancing architecture and delivery speed for critical workflows.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern libraries such as React; familiar with GraphQL.
• Clean HTML/CSS, responsive design, and accessibility best practices.
• Strong performance optimization skills for complex interfaces.
• Clear communication to align with partner teams during cross-organization work.
• Experience building AI-driven UI features; understanding ML and generative models.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex agent workflows and design frontend solutions that reduce handling time and improve resolution rates.
• Partner with product managers to define feature specifications aligned with community support strategies.
• Translate business requirements into frontend architectures using JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Build reusable component libraries for consistency across the agent console.
• Collaborate with designers to implement pixel-perfect, accessible interfaces.
• Work with backend engineers to define server-side APIs for frontend needs.
• Integrate AI-powered features into the agent interface to enhance human capabilities.
• Write tests and establish automation to ensure stability and reliability.
• Monitor performance and implement optimizations for fast experiences.
• Contribute to long-term technical design discussions shaping the agent product suite.
