Job summary

Lumen Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and deliver software solutions in an Agile environment. You will collaborate across disciplines to translate complex requirements into scalable, production-ready software that supports AI-ready connectivity.

This remote US-based role emphasizes strong problem solving, ownership, and ability to work across cloud, edge, and AI workloads.

Qualifications

• 6 years of experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent education; 4 years with a master's degree.
• Experience in Agile practices, including planning, grooming, sprint management, standups, and retrospectives; familiarity with JIRA.
• Extensive development experience using C#, .NET and javascript.
• Cloud development experience, preferably Azure DevOps.
• Telecommunications industry experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deliver software solutions in an Agile Scrum team.
• Collaborate with business partners and technical staff to meet requirements.
• Define and implement automated tests with product developers.
• Document work to promote transparency and reuse.
• Build production-quality enterprise systems meeting target SLAs for scalability and performance.
• Participate in code-review processes.
• Prioritize multiple concurrent projects and tasks.
• Demonstrate accountability for completed assignments.
