Job summary

Lumeris is hiring a Sr. Software Engineer to join an AI Agent team, contributing across front-end, back-end, database, and infrastructure. The role involves working with a product and prompt engineering team on AI-enabled applications and integrations.

You will participate in the full software lifecycle, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help drive high-quality, scalable solutions in a remote-friendly environment. This full-time position is based in Massachusetts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent.
5+ years of software development experience in enterprise environment.
Experience with AI-based applications and generative AI APIs (OpenAI, Bedrock, Vertex AI).
Cloud experience with GCP preferred; AWS also valuable.
Experience with Terraform and containerization (Docker).
OO programming, RESTful services and data access in relational/NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

Delivers well-tested, peer-reviewed work on time and owns quality.
Participates in all phases of SDLC with cross-functional teams.
Engages in weekly on-call rotation for production incidents and releases.
Develops AI-enabled applications using Python and React.
Integrates Generative AI APIs and evaluates AI features for quality, safety, latency and cost.
Develops data access layers with cloud databases (Google Cloud SQL, Aurora, PostgreSQL).
Mentors colleagues and conducts code reviews.
