Job summary

Lumen, a trusted network for AI, is seeking a highly technical, hands-on engineer to lead and participate in multi-team system integration. The role requires design, analysis, testing, and validation across enterprise networking, cloud, and security domains.

Candidates should have extensive Linux, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and automation experience, with strong cloud (GCP/AWS) and on-call availability. Travel may be needed, and US citizenship with a TS clearance is required.

Qualifications

5+ years Linux systems engineering experience (Redhat, CentOS, Rocky).
3+ years Kubernetes experience including helm charts and deploying applications.
3+ years with Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services.
5+ years Elasticsearch experience including indexing, clustering, managing, and troubleshooting.
5+ years automation in Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Knowledge of computer network operations, security, encryption, and cross domain solutions.
Available 24/7 for Network Outages and Maintenance window work.
Ability to travel.
US Citizen with an active DoD TOP SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

Lead and participate in multiple team environments across system integration, design, testing, and validation.
Monitor, analyze, and resolve incidents for infrastructure in Google Cloud and AWS.
Deploy, configure, and administer systems in Google Cloud and AWS.
Support and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters and containers.
Design and validate technical solutions for new projects and production deployment.
Develop and execute test plans based on security and functional requirements.
Mentor teammates and provide rapid operational support for production equipment.
