Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support Java-based applications, ensuring reliability, performance, and security. You will own incident response, build proactive monitoring, and drive automation across production systems in a hybrid, cloud-enabled environment.

The role requires 7+ years in Java/J2EE and related web technologies, plus 1+ year in ReactJS/Angular and container tech (Kubernetes, Docker).

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent discipline.
• 3+ years with Incident Management Processes in IT operations.
• 7+ years experience in Java, JavaScript & web technologies (HTML, XML, CSS) and J2EE (Servlet, JDBC, JSP) with Spring framework.
• 1+ years experience in ReactJS/Angular, containers (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with Web Security (OWASP Top 10).

Responsibilities

• Reliability engineering for highly available, fault-tolerant systems.
• Implement end-to-end monitoring, logging, and alerting for apps and infra.
• Lead on-call incidents and post-incident reviews; drive corrective actions.
• Automate scaling, incident recovery, and routine tasks; build internal tools.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, security, and operations teams on releases and capacity planning.
