Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Security Engineer (Incident Response) to lead the technical response to security events across our global infrastructure, services, and applications. You will triage, contain, remediate, and drive post-incident improvements while collaborating with R&D teams.

You will help grow a high‑performing, scalable security program by creating bespoke and standard response processes, automating where possible, and mentoring teammates for long-term

Qualifications

• 5+ years of security incident response in production cloud environments.
• Ability to utilize AI for comprehensive security incident response activities.
• Advanced knowledge of service-oriented architectures and security tools in cloud environments.
• Experience with SIEM platforms and extending their functionality.
• Experience with SOAR tools and automating manual security processes.
• Experience in AWS, GCP, or other large cloud platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to influence and build relationships across the org.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the response to security events across the company’s global infrastructure and applications.
• Document incidents and projects; craft runbooks and SOPs to share knowledge.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to address threats and challenges across teams.
• Improve security and reliability posture by driving identified improvements.
• Continuously learn new technical skills in a fast-paced industry.
• Own the security incident lifecycle, participate in on-call rotations and RCAs.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with internal customers to expand impact.
• Provide mentorship and support for long-term career development.
